SANCTIFIED UNION: Luo first arrived in Perth nine years ago after leaving his home town of Beijing two days before his seventeenth birthday. He started his career in hospitality, working in cafes, restaurants and clubs before he first picked up a camera five years ago and began to shoot anything and everything. With a Bachelor of Art & Mass Communication under his belt, (his major was in Film & TV and Creative Advertising Design) Luo has been a cinematographer for many years and has even directed a TV show called The Vice. This cinematic influence is evident in his art. With a proficient eye for detail & design, he doesn’t merely capture reality like a photo journalist, he recreates & constructs reality - Luo style. Fashion is Luo’s passion, and he has efficiently accomplished himself as one of Perth’s leading & most sought after high fashion & creative advertising photographers. Though his schedule is demanding, he still finds time to get back to his roots, and goes to the movies every week, seeking inspiration & new ideas for shoots. P.s. a little known fact about Luo is that he loves to play the drums and guitar!
